Cheese Pepper Bites
Shankarpali, also called shakarpara, are bite-sized deep-fried dough-based crisps enjoyed generally at teatime, and specifically during Diwali. Different ingredients are added while making these munchies to imbue them with interesting flavours. Athavale’s Cheese Shankarpale, as the name suggests, has oodles of cheese powder in them and are a favourite among kids. The addition of black pepper imbues the delicious savoury with a delicate spiciness. A desi substitute for cheese crackers, this snack tastes best when paired with tea or coffee.
